How this directory stays current

Nothing here is typed in by hand or copied from another dance directory. Every organisation below is re-read automatically from its own website on a schedule, and each row carries the date that last happened, so you can judge for yourself how fresh a listing is.

Re-read on a schedule

41 of the 70 organisations are re-read every night; the rest at least once a week. The scrape runs unattended in the early hours and publishes the same morning, so a date added to a club's site on Monday is normally listed here by Tuesday.

Checked against their own site

An organisation only gets listed once its own website has been shown to carry a future date or a current programme. Other dance directories are used as leads, never as evidence — their entries outlive the clubs by years.
